Pilmuir Works Mill

Client: Marshall Cost: Circa 75K Contract Duration: 10 weeks Asbestos Removal Asbestos was located within the existing roof felt. This was removed safely and in accordance with regulations by our trained CAT B operatives. Removal of Roof Structure The project required the entire roof structure to be removed by hand. This was achieved by utilising an internal crash deck with an external working scaffold. Once the timber roof structure was removed, operatives working from a M.E.W.P and using oxygen/propane cutting equipment proceeded to remove the existing steelwork roofing framework. Mechanical Demolition Once the steel framework was removed, we proceeded with the mechanical demolition to the rear courtyard sandstone wall. This was a very delicate procedure due to the fact the Pilmuir Street façade had to remain in place, undamaged, which was achieved using our highly skilled workforce. All debris from site was sufficiently segregated and disposed of via 40-yard RoRo bins to licensed recycling facilities. *** Pilmuir Street was completed in 10 weeks, within budget and we successfully secured a 95% recycle rate from this project.
