Client HP Projects Cost Circa 150K Contract Duration 6 weeks Asbestos Removal The asbestos removal works consisted of the removal of chrysotile roof sheeting along with various items of pipework contamination within the abattoir building prior to any downtakings proceeding. All asbestos works were carried out in accordance with all regulations. Mechanical Demolition Mechanical demolitions were carried out by utilising our Doosan DX225. The Doosan was fitted with a 360-degree rotating grab and pneumatic breaker to allow the safe demolition of the Abattoir. The reinforced slab and foundations were also broken out using the Doosan DX225. All debris arising was removed by 40-yard debris bins to licenced recycling facilities. 1 Storey Office Block Once the Abattoir demolition and Asbestos removal was complete, BDL began the soft strip of the 1 Storey Office Block. The soft strip consisted of floor coverings, doors removal, plasterboard ceilings and all general fixtures and fittings. After the soft strip was complete, using our Doosan DX225 fitted again, with the 360-degree rotating grab and proceeded to remove the tile and timber roof from the building. We segregated the timber and loaded it into the 40-yard RoRo’s we had on site to be removed for recycling. Using the Doosan DX225 we proceeded with the demolition of the building reducing it to ground floor slab level. All debris produced from the demolition was processed and segregated into piles and removed from site to a registered recycling facility. BDL demolition are proud to say we achieved a 98% recycle rate from this project and safely completed the project on time and within budget.
